I ordered a CherryPal from there Amazon store. What is the status of the company, are they still shipping them? I sent a few emails and heard nothing. I have sent them a letter in the mail.

I ordered one sometime ago and got my money refunded.

Okay, so the problem with the monitor believe may be a problem with the cord shorting out, since it works again when you unplug it and plug it back in.

A few questions please:

1) What are the supported screen resolutions?
2) What are the procedures to restore the unit to it's original state? Ghost image, download image from cherrypal cloud, etc.
3) What was the CPU utilization when you say Firefox was "slow"? Was the processor at 100%

Nice photos_Nice blog.Thank You.
It's interesting that you can actually add programs!
I was under the impression everything was going to be basically that you get what's given and that was that. Can you tell then if it's possible to load Opera to use as a browser, is it available via the "Synaptic Package Manager"? Sorry but I'm not familiar with linux download procedures. thank you

Good first review! I would think that the Cherrypal would have been 'burned in' to uncover any heat problems. Does the case feel warm?

Thank you for the news. It's very exciting that CherryPal is finally shipping after all the delays and lack of information.

Sorry to hear about everything going purple on you. One possibility is overheating. Even though it only consumes 2W, CherryPal is a closed plastic (I guess) box and 2W can add up to a significant temperature rise. I once had an Atari ST that displayed black bands when it overheated (yep, I'm old). You might try turning power off for a while and see if the problem fixes itself and/or comes back.
